Ministry of the Future

This is a space to think, write, draw and make visions of the future we want to live in. It’s open to anyone aged five and up.

To build the future we want we first have to imagine it!

Cardboard futurists.

I ran this workshop over several weekends as part of the E17 Art Trail. It was a treat to see what people made. We had a lot of very engaged young kids and a few parents too. The aim was to give people an open space where they could explore the theme as they wanted.

I bought some of the materials but most of what we used was old packing materials and sawn down cardboard tubes given to me by a carpet shop who would otherwise have thrown them away. These were used to help articulate visions of where people wanted to live or things they wanted to live with.

The images below were taken during one day of the workshops.

Could this workshop work at your venue or event? If yes, do get in touch.
