I like making objects that are playful. I often start with very ordinary and familiar things, and then try to find ways to see them afresh.
A white ceramic dish with a hand painted hand. It’s made to hold what you don’t want to lose.
These stickers are for calling out bullshit, balderdash and baloney. Unfortunately there seems to be all too much of that going around these days.
Here are a couple of things I have poppycock-ed.
‘Don’t be a dick’ pin badges
I find that I often need a nudge to avoid acting like a dick, that’s why I made this badge. Perhaps you know of someone who could use this too?
I’ve also enjoyed sending these to public figures who I think could moderate their behaviour.
Coffee cycle clock
I love coffee, but the more I drink it, the more I need it. So much so I found that life was beginning to look like this clock.
Moiré kits for StoneTurners
This kit allows you to explore the moiré effect directly. It consists of simple graphic patterns printed on to white card and repeated on clear acetate. When you place the acetate directly over the corresponding card the identical designs line up, then by shifting the acetate you will instantly create moiré effects.
The moiré effect varies depending on the original graphic pattern being used—its density, complexity, boldness/lightness and the arrangement of its elements. The effect also depends on how you move the acetate sheet and the angle you hold it at.

40 winks cushion
Cushion cover with hand drawn design featuring 40 winking eyes. Perfect for a short nap. The reverse is hand lettered. The design has been drawn using colour-fast fabric pigment.
I’ve drawn up the artwork to screen print a short run of these — just need to set some time aside to get it done!
Expressive welcome mat
Doormat with a hand stencilled design that happily welcomes people, but is sad to see them go. The design is applied using a colour fast fabric pigment.
‘Give it a rest’ phone case
I’ve been trying to make something to help me regulate my phone use. This phone case is the most effective attempt so far—just turn it face down to give it a short nap. This also makes it harder to see and get distracted by notifications.
I get a much better night’s sleep if the phone goes to sleep too.
Royal Wedding Survival Earplugs
Harry and Megan got married in Summer 2018, in case you missed it. It was difficult to avoid the coverage so I made these for people who were finding it all a bit much.
Hand painted 'Tea Pad' coaster for launching and landing you cuppa. Applied using fabric pigments so it’s colour fast. 90mm in diameter and 4mm deep.
