I love making prints. Getting something back from the printer is a always a treat, but it's even better when I get to make them myself.
‘A work in progress’ print
‘A work in progress’ is a print to celebrate a wedding or anniversary. You, or the person you give the print to, adds a ring around the red heart for every year. The lines printed in white provide a guide. It's a print that grows with the relationship it celebrates.
It’s hand screen printed in two colours – white and red, on white A3 acid-free quality 220gsm card. Titled and signed in pencil. Shipped flat with a card backing wrapped in cellophane to prevent damage.

A card for slurring “I love you”. The details on the reverse are digitally printed on to 350gsm White Frost Colorplan card. The text is hand written using a bunch of coloured pencils. It’s trying to capture that feeling of being drunk on someone.
A book of 24 postcards that you can tear out and use, each card features a line drawing. They are whimsical and playful, and I hope they raise a smile.
They’re taken from notebooks I’ve been using over the past year or two.
A card that’s hand printed using a wooden mallet with a heart mark cut into one face. The details on the reverse are digitally printed. The card is 350gsm Frost White Colorplan and it is 105mm x 148mm.
This card is trying to convey the violent intensity of things when you fall in love.

Super, Smashing, Great
A Venn diagram of lovely things where the bullseye is you. It’s a two colour Risograph printed on 170gsm Munken Lynx in a numbered edition of 28. Each is authenticated with an embossed stamp.
I had the pleasure to work with writer Therese Kieran on a project called 26 Lies. Twenty six writers were paired with twenty six artists and designers, each responding to lie supplied to us by the organisers. Ours was “Regular use significantly reduces body size.”—a line from a withdrawn ad for Nivea Bio-slim lotion. It was great to collaborate with Therese, seeing how her thinking evolved and working together to capture something of the spirit of it in the final visual piece. From her first exploration it was clear that themes of body image, transformation, illusion and reality were going to be important and they seemed to lead very naturally to Alice. A rabbit-hole that Therese has lots of fun exploring.
A two colour risograph, printed on 170gsm Munken Lynx. Numbered limited edition with embossed stamp.

‘Dust Up’ print
A yellow duster screen printed with a comic book style fight scene. A title and artist's mark are include at the bottom of the print. There are all roughly 420mm x 510mm but they do vary a little in size. There is variation in the colour and fluffiness of the dusters. And there's variation in the intensity of the print, this comes from it being hand printed. This has been designed as a print for display, it doesn’t work very well as a duster any more.
Pale blue dot – print
This poster takes Carl Sagan’s description of the most distant photograph of Earth (taken from the space probe Voyager) and sets it in a block that focuses on our pale blue dot.
It’s a beautiful piece of writing that captures fragile beauty of life on our planet.
